Tropic paradise fantasies: Fabiana Filippi presents a new spring collection

 Summer vacation spent among exotic plants inspired designers to create a story about a tropical paradise. Shades of golden sand, the whiteness of the dunes under the midday sun, the play of light in the oncoming waves, the rocky bottom, translucent through the emerald water - the whole island landscape is fully reflected in the collection.


The flora of Madagascar is a separate topic: the collection contains complex shades of amaranth, plum, anthracite, delicate pastel colors from lavender to sand, as well as a complex floral print, reflecting the richness of the island’s nature.

Fabric textures are also reminiscent of the South African style: the finest flax with the effect of craquelure knitted fabrics in combination with weightless sateen, chiffon, tulle, organza, and filhope. The combination of transparent and dense fabrics reminds movement of clouds among bright island landscapes.

Having chosen such a theme, it is difficult not to experiment with silhouettes. The multifaceted culture of Africa allows free access to both geometric shapes and classical models. To turn a suit from pressed flax into an analog of kimono, to use technological fabrics for outerwear so that they look weightless and seductive, to rethink modern shortened jackets and shirts in safari style is a task for real fashion glamor.

However, the result was an ultra-current collection that combines sports chic, street style and elements of colonial luxury. And the accents with accessories added a bit of sensuality to the overall concept.
