Should it really hurt? Protocol correct manicure with shellac

First of all, it is worth noting that when applying any gel polish, it is necessary to comply with the technology recommended by the manufacturer of the varnish. Usually,
they are not very different but still pay attention.

Priority of the procedure
First, a base coat is applied, which provides manicure resistance and protects the nail plate from staining. Then the color itself is applied and at the end the topcoat is top.

About the number of varnish layers
The base and top coatings are applied in one layer, and color, as a rule, in two. It is applied three times if the color is transparent and not too dense.

About drying nails
Many customers say that when drying a long-term coating they have a burning sensation of the nails. The most interesting thing, the masters say that this is a normal process, but it is not. It is worth a little deeper into the chemistry.

  • The first possible reason is the so-called exothermic process. The drying process of any coating occurs with the release of heat, if the reaction rate is high, then too much of it is released, therefore it burns the nails.
  • The second is gel polish and a lamp of different manufacturers. Photoinitiators in the composition of the coating strictly balance their number with the power of the light flux produced by the lamp, so often, when these two parameters do not match, the nail plate is unpleasantly heated.
  • The third - the master applied a coating with a thick layer: too many photoinitiators per unit area also causes a burning sensation.

As for placing the nails under the lamp, for example, with CND Shellac, all five fingers can be dried at the same time. Some brands have four fingers and large fingers separately, but definitely not every single one. This is one of the criteria for determining the cabin, well trained there master or not.

What time does a manicure with shellac
On average, it takes about 25 minutes to cover a professional master with experience. If you add to this cut classic manicure, then about an hour and ten minutes. If the master is a beginner, then it takes about 40 minutes to cover, plus the same amount for a manicure.
