Behind the scenes of the show: 9 facts about how it feels to be the “angel” of Victoria's Secret
1. As soon as the models find out in which shoes they will go to the podium, the more they take them off. At least during fitting and rehearsals. Thus, they get used to the shoes and heels to feel comfortable and avoid embarrassment during the show.
2. Depending on the image, some girls wear underwear thongs that match the skin color. Well, so as not to "light up" nothing extra.
3. Each model, if desired, can use silicone liners for bras. This is not necessary, but push-up has not hurt anyone yet. :)
4. Stylists use special double-sided tape to keep everything in place. That is why you almost never see awkward moments with the shift of underwear on models.
5. Outfits are often torn when models try to put them on behind the scenes. But it does not matter, because there are always seamstresses at the ready. And the clothes are sewn right on the girls. And sometimes they tear especially to quickly fit the size.
6. Girls sit in a chair for a few hours before the show, while they are wearing makeup and hair. Despite the fact that they are waking up and already look like stunning beauties, it still takes a lot of effort to create Victoria's Secret angel for the catwalk. 32 makeup artists, 27 hair stylists, and 11 manicurists - that’s how much staff is needed to prepare 55 models for the exit.
7. The skin of the "angels" looks flawless. But there is a little secret. Absolutely all girls do body makeup and apply Victoria’s Secret Love Fragrance Lotion lotion.
8. How is the disguise of "angels"? Very simple! A whole team of costumes is responsible for this process. The models literally stand on the spot, the clothes “exfoliate” from them, the next comes back, and then the wings (if the dress requires them).
9. Most models train twice a day, starting two weeks before the show, or even more. It is not easy, but otherwise nothing. Especially if very soon you are going to go half-naked on the catwalk at the most famous show in the world.
